In a bid to keep things fresh in the realm of Iris, the Last Chaos February update offers extra wiggle-room for veteran players in the form of an increased level cap and some extra quests featuring a brand new boss: the fearsome Theo *cue thunder*.
There’s little point in a level increase without a place to wield your newfound power, and with Theo’s Darkness - a brand new dungeon containing exciting new treasures - adventurers can let loose against powered-up denizens. Three new variations of gear for all character classes are among the contents of the new loot. Plus, there are higher grades of jewels to help strengthen armour which can be obtained from chests should their respective keys be collected by the dungeon’s monsters.
Of course, this buffed-up dungeon should not be tackled alone, so be sure to assemble a fearsome team of your own before you go a-plundering. New buffs will be applied to all members of a party, unique to each sub-class, with party-wide debuffs afflicting the entire party inside (including a constant HP-sapping curse that can only be averted by acquiring one of the new ‘Insignias’). These versatile new items can be wielded in many ways, including in your bout with Theo himself, or to engage some additional group buffs.
To gain entry to this new realm, players must first complete a series of entrance quests, starting with the Royal Guard Captain in Juno. Once these have been completed, you’ll get your hands on an Enter the Darkness ticket which can be used to, well...enter the darkness.
