We’re taking a break from the customary Activision Blizzard chaos this week. Because it’s Halloween season and we’ll be damned if we’re not getting into the spirit of it. After all, World of Warcraft certainly is. And there’s treats aplenty to reap as the WoW Headless Horseman returns.
Hallow’s End - The WoW Headless Horseman Returns
From now until 1st November, the Headless Horseman is setting up camp in the Scarlet Monastery’s Graveyard whilst entertaining himself with a spot of arson. As he sets Razor Hill and Goldshire ablaze, players must aid the bucket brigade in extinguishing the flames.
Doing so, and facing off against the rider in his graveyard lair, could earn players the rider’s steed itself. Those who wish to try their luck must be between level 10 - 60 to be able to queue for the encounter in the Dungeon Finder.
Trick-or-Treat and Tricky Treats
Throughout the same period, the fearless adventurers of Azeroth can engage in some childhood nostalgia by trick-or-treating in the inns of Azeroth, Northrend, Pandaria, Outland, Draenor and the Broken Isles (Dalaran). Doing so may bag players tasty treats and currency to buy Hallow’s End delights.

Tricky Treats are also attainable through a quest in Val’sharah. Begin this quest with the Hag of the Crooked Tree in Bradensbrook, and upon completion players may receive these Tricky Treats, as well as be in with a chance of earning one of four witchy hats for their efforts.
Hallow’s End Achievements
But as we all know, there’s no treat like the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a goal. Luckily for us, this year’s Hallow’s End festivities brings 21 achievements for completionists to attain.
Completing the Meta-Achievement, Hallowed Be Thy Name, rewards the title ‘The Hallowed’, and requires the completion of 11 other achievements.
