Bellatores screenshots showcase a new UE5 MMORPG that may prove to be a dark horse.
New Bellatores Images Revealed - But What Exactly Is This Shiny Upcoming Korean MMO?
New Bellatores images have just been revealed via its official Discord server. And if that title doesn't ring a bell at all, well strap in because this could be the latest Korean MMO set to give Lost Ark and Black Desert Online a run for their money.
A colossal dragon beset by an army of players and verdant landscapes awash with dappled sunlight
The typical air of skepticism surrounding Bellatores hits all the usual beats, such as pay-to-win mechanics that Korean MMOs have a history of implementing. Though if their Discord announcements are to be believed, then Bellatores has received considerable investment from reputable names like Epic Games.
Regarding content, it doesn't look like Bellatores is treading any new ground. It is another medieval MMO with fantasy elements as well as survival and large-scale PvP mechanics.
Character progression, however, does look to be a little more unique than usual, as the game seems to be following the "you are what you wear" mechanic that Albion is famous for rather than the typical "pick a class" system seen in western MMORPGs. Plus, with it utilizing Unreal Engine 5, there's no denying that it looks particularly pretty. Something which the screenshots recently released via the official Discord demonstrate.
New Bellatores images showcase some pretty exciting content that prospective players can look forward to. A colossal dragon beset by an army of players, verdant landscapes awash with dappled sunlight, and some atmospheric scenes of medieval style churches and camps comprise much of the latest showcase. And we'd be lying if we said we didn't want to jump in right away.
With Lost Ark and BDO taking western mmo gamers by storm, we can certainly live in hope that Bellatores will deliver the latest Korean developed MMO for audiences to get stuck into.
Whether the latest drop of new Bellatores images indicate that we'll get that chance this year is uncertain. Developers NYOU originally slated the release for 2022 but it never materialised.
