Tomorrow there will once again be new tasks in Sea of Thieves. You can already take a first look.

It's mid-November and that means that the next batch of new content for the current season in Sea of Thieves is imminent. The core feature this time is a new World Event called "The Skull of Siren Song". This is another opportunity to bag treasure and rake in lots of gold and experience. However, the experience is designed to encounter other players.

Similar to a Skeleton Fortress, a Kraken or a Fleet of Skeleton Ships, this World Event is not always available in the Pirate Game. However, as soon as the opportunity arises, a note will appear on the main mast of your ship. You can actively decide against or in favor of this voyage. The ghostly version of Captain Briggsy will then appear and ask you to bring her the Skull of Siren Song. She will give you two treasure maps, each marked with an X. One will lead you to the crate with the skull and one will lead you to the key to open the crate. The item that is unearthed first will be marked with a beacon visible to all players on the server (similar to a reaper's chest). The challenge now is to be faster than the other crews, as this note appears on every ship. However, the final outcome of such a journey depends on whether and what kind of fellow players you meet.

Be careful, the skull is not just a valuable treasure. You can also use it as a weapon and shoot sound waves. But the skull also has some disadvantages. If you walk across an island with it, coral skeletons will constantly appear. If the skull is on the ship, the speed will drop. As long as the skull remains in the unopened chest, everything is fine. However, you won't know where Captain Briggsy is, where you have to hand in the skull. The location is also indicated by a beacon and on the ship's map.

Such a dangerous journey must of course be rewarded accordingly. There are new commendations, gold and lots of experience. You can also unlock a new ship design and clothing in the style of "The Skull of Siren Song".
