Little was revealed about the upcoming Dune MMO which was unveiled with an epic CGI trailer. But its promise of blending survival and social mechanics has us pretty excited for its development. Here's what we know so far.Quantum Knights
An exciting futuristic fantasy title rife with "technomagic". This looter shooter looks reminiscent of Destiny but with a mediaeval spin. The slated release is 2023.Veiled Experts
A third-person shooter in which players must deploy the unique abilities of one of several agents in strategic team-based battles. Veiled Experts is currently billed as "coming soon".
Another third-person shooter but with lore-rich co-op gameplay. Players will find themselves completing scenario missions in a beautifully rendered world alongside up to four other players. Also "coming soon".Marauders
A dieselpunk sci-fi FPS set in an alternate timeline in which the Great War never ended. Looting, shooting and exploring the stars are at the core of this team-based shooter in which players face rival teams or AI in fast-paced bouts. Marauders is set to release in October this year.Redfall
An open-world shooter based in the fictional town of Redfall, a town overrun by vampires. Four heroes with unique abilities must keep vampires and antagonistic fellow humans at bay. Redfall is a Bethesda-published title set for release in the first half of 2023, meaning we can assume it will be on Xbox and PC.
Suffice to say, the multiplayer Gamescom highlights were pretty rife with shooters. But alongside exciting upcoming projects like the anticipated LoL MMO, we're excited for the future of the genre.
