Announced shortly after the critically acclaimed 2021 movie, Dune: Awakening is a sandbox survival MMORPG from Funcom. It is inspired by other hit survival games like Valheim with shelter-construction, crafting, and fierce battles over finite resources.
Players can explore a vast open world complete with giant sandworms, guilds, base-building, and the ever-desired spice - a resource necessary for both survival and prosperity. But they will not face these battles without aid. As well as guilds, players can seek help from the great Houses. Furthermore, there is high-tech weaponry available and augmented combat techniques learnable at the Great Schools of the Imperium. Combined with ground and air vehicles, players can expect large-scale, gripping 3rd person combat.
