It seems that a recently uploaded YouTube video has confirmed that Tencent's gorgeous wuxia-themed MMORPG Moonlight Blade is coming West. With its stunning graphics and wuxia theme, we can't help but feel excited by this news.
The video itself is sadly not in English, so we are taking the user's word for it but the description and several comments mention the fact and by golly we want to play this game so much!
From the video description itself:
"Carnival Day place in Nan-ching , show new version update of Moonlight blade online , new dungeon , loli update , graphic and some change gameplay :) . English server coming soon ^.^ !."
This is pretty great news for those of us playing in the West, though there is no confirmation on who will be publishing Moonlight Blade over this way, whether it's Tencent themselves or somebody else, nor do we know when this will be, after all, we have to remember that the localization process can take some time and with Korean and Taiwanese servers also confirmed, the localization team will have their work cut out for them!
The video also confirms a major update for the game, with a new dungeon, a new "loli" character, a land and sea expansion which may see naval battles added according to one commenter, and further optimizations. So things are looking good for Moonlight Blade.
There are some really interesting developments in the MMO market from China recently and we can't wait to see what's next. Of course, as intrigued as we may be by Moonlight Blade, it's also good to remember that sometimes, despite a developer's best intentions, some games don't make it to the West after all so we shall await further confirmation.
