Black Desert Online was a name that was only whispered until recently, but after a successful alpha test the game is now ready to start its first closed beta.
Starting today, players who have obtained a Black Desert Closed Beta 1 key will now be able to log into the game. This first test will run from December 16 until December 22 at 7:00 am UTC. Access has been granted through key distribution and giveaways, but it can also be obtained by purchasing a founder’s package. The Conqueror’s package will grant access to both CBT1 and CBT2, while the Explorer’s Package will only grant access to CBT2.
Since the completion of the alpha test, there have been many improvements to the game based on community feedback. Additionally, the Tamer class is now available, the Calpheon region added, and there are special in-game events taking place. Throughout the event, game masters will be hosting challenges where players can win prizes such as dyes, taming equipment, and lanterns that players can use to discover the spawn location of the mighty Kzaka.

Even in its alpha phase, Black Desert looked great. The game has one of the best, and most realistic, character creation systems of any MMORPG and the combat is very action-oriented.
