Earlier this week, the second part of the Mediah expansion for Black Desert Online went live. The complete patch notes are also now available for those who are interested in finding everything out about this new content.
The most important content, for gameplay driven players at least, is the release of three new areas and five powerful new items. Tungrad Forest, Hasrah Dungeon, and the Kuit Islands are now unlocked and ready to be explored. Furthermore, bosses now have a small chance of dropping top tier equipment including: Red Nose’s Armor, Giath’s Helmet, Bheg’s Gloves, Muskan’s Shoes, and Hebetate Tree Spirit’s Armor.
Additionally, the Kaia weapons can now be rented for 50 contribution points from Kanobas in Calpheon. These weapons are excellent for leveling up new characters or for players who don’t have the money to invest in high-level weapon enhancement yet. Like usual, there are a few new cash shop items as well including the Lahr Arcien Outfit, Shaggy Dog, and Palm Tree Furniture Set.
Finally, there were a few small balance changes to the Witch & Wizard and Maehwa & Musa. Tier 3 horses can now be found in the wild, and rewards from the Red Battle Field have been tweaked.
Daum Games is releasing Black Desert Online content at a lightning-fast pace. This is great for players who are really dedicated to the game, but it can make it easy for more casual players to fall behind. However, it might be beneficial to catch up to the Korean version of the game sooner rather than later.
