CCP Issues Lifelong Bans for EVE Monument Vandalism

Three players have been permanently banned from the EVE community after vandalizing the EVE monument in Reykjavik while a fourth has been given a 6 month ban. A total of 7 EVE accounts and one DUST 514 account have been permanently banned. And all four players have been forever blacklisted from future Fanfest events. CCP was able to uncover the identities of those who did the act thanks to the help of some of their alliance members and some who were involved in the incident. The forum post announcing the ruling in no way mentions any legal actions being taken. But there also seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about the ruling from forumgoers.
