There’s a small, almost innocuous message on the League of Legends Service Status page. Well it starts out innocuous.
Specifically it states:
We’re currently working to fix a bug with the Recall spell. Unfortunately, this particular issue can’t be mitigated by disabling a specific champion or item so we’ve temporarily disabled Ranked while we develop a solution. We will update you all with our progress in 12 hours.
Recall is an ability that all players have access to regardless of selected champion that after a potentially tense few seconds will teleport them back home, the delay of course being key to the ability. This little bug has left people able to instantly teleport back home. Instantaneous teleport out of danger or back to base is well.. a hell of an issue.
As a result Riot have pulled down the Ranked Matches until they can sort ths issue. Kudos to them for moving quickly on this, no one wants bugged games ruining the climb up the ranks and marring their prestige after all. According to MCV UK the bug was first noticed with the hero Riven and since has become this larger issue. Hopefully players will be able to get back to ranked battles soon, unranked matches are not affected.
