Neverwinter Tyranny of Dragons

Neverwinter: Rise of Tiamat Expansion Launches on Xbox One Today

Xbox One players awaiting Neverwinter’s Rise of Tiamat expansion need wait no more as it goes live today following maintenance.

Neverwinter: Rise of Tiamat improves the game’s console playability and introduces the Well of Dragons adventure zone which players will now be able to explore at their leisure while battling the harbingers of Tiamat, queen of the dragons. The story follows the Tyranny of Dragons campaign and recent Siege of Neverwinter event. Alongside new quests and heroic encounters, players can expect the upcoming 25-man battle with Tiamat, the five headed dragon goddess herself.

“With Neverwinter being one of the first MMORPGs to come to the Xbox One, we wanted to ensure that our game lives up to the idea of a living world,” said Rob Overmeyer, executive producer of Neverwinter. “Rise of Tiamat is just the beginning of our continued support for our game on consoles as we look to deliver more dungeons, dragons and game optimizations that our players want.”

Additionally, this update brings a whole bunch of updates to improve the player experience across the board. As of today, Neverwinter for Xbox One will feature an on-screen mini-map, receive performance upgrades and adjustments to queuing and much more. You can read the full patch notes here.

This is the first of five free expansions coming to Neverwinter’s Xbox One client in 2015.
