Open Beta for The Crew 2 Goes Live

Open beta is running now, June 21st all the way until Monday, June 25th at 1am PDT/4am EST. The beta is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4 and has no NDA for those who want to stream, capture or otherwise share their driving experiences.

As for content in the open beta, a self-described “large chunk” of the game will be open, including the entire open world in Freedrive mode and the first eight disciplines of racing like street racing, powerboats and aerobatics. Don’t get too attached to your progress, though; your character will not carry over into the full title.

On top of the beta itself, there are a couple of events of note happening with The Crew 2. US citizens 18 years of age or older who reach Fame Level 2 could win a real-life Harley-Davidson Iron 883 motorcycle. There’s also the King of the Road Trip competitive event being livestreamed on the Ubisoft’s Twitch channel this Friday, June 22nd at 1pm PST/4pm EST.

All of the details about everything The Crew 2 open beta-related are here and a trailer is below.

Our Thoughts

With the impression that Forza Horizon 4 made during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, we’re definitely interested in whether a game like The Crew 2 can hit the ground running and offer a multiplayer open world racing experience that satisfies genre fans. Here’s hoping all goes reasonably well!
