Riot Games has recently taken a very firm stance when it comes to their community and especially the e-sports that surrounds it. In yet another move to clean up the trash in their community, Riot has issued a punishment for ELO boosting to members and even a coach of teams like Curse, compLexity, GoodGame University, Counter Logic Gaming, and Vulcan.
Defined as “the repetitive and intentional act of an individual playing on someone else’s account (a “client”) for the purpose of artificially improving the client’s Elo rating”, several players have been issued a 14-day suspension and had their Season 2 rewards revoked from their accounts. Good Game University was also given a first and final warning for launching a DDoS attack on a rival team. To find out more about the incident, read the official ruling.
