The Top 3 Best Weekend MMORPG

Every so often, when you feel the rain is not going to stop. the wind blows harder then ever before, you know it is time for gaming, MMORPG weekend!

After months and months of working on MMO LIFE and rolling out local mmorpg portals in Brazil, Spain, USA, Germany and more to come, it is difficult to choose a game that is a must play for this weekend. Therefore a quick MMORPG top 3 that I created and you all can tell me which one is the chosen one for this MMO weekend:

  1. World of Warcraft; Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last several years, you’ve at least heard of World of Warcraft. It makes my #1 spot not only for the fact that there are over 3 million active players, but also for the fact that the game is massive, and a ton of fun all-around.
  2. Runescape; Alright, I agree with most of you that the graphics are poor. But once you get past the slow repetitive low levels, with very little to do, you start opening up hundreds of new items/abilities. Runescape is for sure worth playing if you like games that are more than just hack and slash. However, the best thing of the game is the consistent updates. Each week or two they add new content to the game.
  3. Guild Wars; This title has also earnt quite a lot of respect despite being lesser known than some of its competitors. Guild Wars is essentially an episodic series and there have been three episodes since its release and only one expansion. What is quite unique of this game is the fact that its subscription is free, unlike the majority of loads of other MMORPGs. The game focuses mostly on Player vs Player rather than then the so standard Player vs Environment element. Guild Wars is currently set to break the mold by releasing a sequel, Guild Wars 2, which is planned to be released sometime in 2010/2011.

I’ll be waiting your responses! Bring it on….and have a nice weekend.
