The co-operative, rat-shooting Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide has just received an official release date of October 23, 2015.

Developed by independent studio Fatshark, Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide is an action, first-person shooter set in the fantasy world of Warhammer. Players will be required to band together and select from a group of five heroes with different play styles and abilities in order to survive the apocalyptic Skaven invasion.

“We are so excited to announce that co-op fans can join the heroes of Ubersreik in the fight against the invasion of Skaven this October”, said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “This is by far our most ambitious game yet, and a huge passion project for everyone on the team. We can’t wait to share our work with everyone and look forward to hearing what you all think of Vermintide come October!”

Currently, players can receive a 10% discount on either the base edition or collector’s edition through Steam, and anyone who pre-purchases will also have access to the beta prior to launch. The standard edition costs $29.99 while the collector’s edition is $44.99, but it also includes the official soundtrack composed by Jesper Kyd, an Ubersreik Map, wallpapers, a behind-the-scenes pack, and exclusive in-game items.
