Legendary Pictures, the studio that is currently making the epic movie Warcraft based on the popular Blizzard franchise and MMORPG World of Warcraft, has announced that they are finally wrapping up with filming. The movie has finally finished shooting, after being in development for so long.
Duncan Jones, the director of the World of Warcraft movie, has announced via Twitter that their final days of filming Warcraft are finally wrapped up. Duncan Jones is known for movies such as the Source Code and Moon. Warcraft will tell the story of the first conflict between the Orcs and Humans.
A lot of people were uncertain at first if this movie was ever going to be made, since the announcement of a movie has been around for so long, people kind of forgot about it. But since last year’s Blizzcon, a spark of hope was ignited for fans. They held a special panel with Q&As about the Warcraft movie, and were delighted to tell people that they haven’t lost sight of the project. Late last year, the date of the project has been pushed back though from December 18, 2015 to March 11, 2016. But in my humble opinion, I’d rather have them spend half a decade getting the movie RIGHT rather then rushing it out.
Perfection takes time ladies and gents, let’s hope it’s worth the wait!
